Every Bronkode assessment ends with a Production Readiness Score. Here's how to read one, using a typical AI-built MVP as an example.
Production Readiness Score Security: 5/10 Architecture: 6/10 Reliability: 3/10 Engineering: 2/10 Operations: 3/10 Overall Score: 38/100 Recommendation: Not Ready For Production
Pillar scores (0–10)
Each pillar of our assessment framework is scored against a set of checklist items:
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0–3 | Critical gaps. Unsafe for real users or data. |
| 4–6 | Workable, with significant risks to address. |
| 7–8 | Solid. Minor improvements recommended. |
| 9–10 | Mature practice for a team of this size. |
The overall score (out of 100)
The pillar scores roll up into a single number, so you can track progress and compare re-assessments over time. It's a summary, not the whole story: one critical security finding matters more than a few points elsewhere.
Reading the example
This profile is very common. Architecture (6) and Security (5) are middling: the app is reasonably structured, with some gaps. Engineering (2), Reliability (3) and Operations (3) are where it falls down: no CI/CD, untested backups, no monitoring. The app works today but has no safety net.
The good news is that those low scores are usually the quickest to improve. A deployment pipeline, a tested restore and basic alerting can move an overall score a long way in a few weeks.
What to do with the recommendation
- Not ready: fix the critical findings before taking real users, data or payments.
- Ready with conditions: launch, with a short list of fixes scheduled immediately after.
- Ready: launch, and keep the score current as the system changes.
A score is a snapshot of your codebase on the review date. When you've made changes, a re-assessment at a reduced rate shows how far you've come.
